13 killed in Bihar

By K. Balchand

PATNA June 10. Thirteen persons, mostly Dalits and including seven women, died after consuming methanol from an over-turned tanker, taking it for alcohol, near Khasiadih village under Wasirganj police station in Gaya district on Friday night. At least 20 others who have taken ill are fighting for their lives in various hospitals.

The police have launched a combing operation in the nearby villages to flush out the industrial spirit fearing that these could have been used in brewing country made liquor which too could spell disaster.
