200 killed in train accident

DAR-ES-SALAAM June 24. At least 200 people were killed when a passenger train derailed in central Tanzania today.``The toll could rise because some of the bodies were trapped in coaches,'' the head of the rescue operation said. The accident took place at around 8 am (10.30 IST) near Igendu in the central Dodoma region. — AFP
