AIFB chairman dead

NEW DELHI JUNE 28. The chairman of the All India Forward Bloc, Dev Dutt Shastri, passed away here this morning. He was 84.

A veteran leader of the freedom movement, he was closely associated with Netaji Subash Chandra Bose and the INA. He was a founder member of the AIFB and headed the trade union wing.

He was also the Editor of the AIFB organ `Jan Garjan', a party communiqué said.
