Direct connection to Puttaparthi

CHENNAI June 28. Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam will soon have a direct train connection to major cities in the country.

The Southern Railway General Manager, V. Anand, releasing the new time-table here today, said a new line was being laid from Dharmavaram to Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam, which was now linked to Penukonda. The line laying work would be completed soon and once the line was ready then the Bangalore - Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express, the Bangalore - Mumbai CST Udayan Express and the Bangalore - Visakapatnam Prasanthi Express would be diverted via Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam, he added.
