Hoon meets Afghan officials

ISLAMABAD July 2 . Britain's Defence Secretary, Geoff Hoon, arrived here this evening from Afghanistan where he met officials of the Hamid Karzai administration and visited the British troops at Bagram air base.

Mr. Hoon is scheduled to meet the Pakistan President, Pervez Musharraf, tomorrow and exchange views on the prevailing situation in the region in the context of the Indo-Pakistan tensions and the ongoing military campaign in Afghanistan.
