The management is believed to be demanding a 200 per cent improvement in production with the existing manpower. The inability of the management to commit any wage increase consequent to improved productivity has upset the labour. Maintaining that they will like the issue to be resolved through discussions, union sources, nevertheless, said that they would like to move the appropriate authorities to facilitate an amicable end to the imbroglio.
