`Politicisation of exam in Bihar'

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI JULY 8. "Why is the BJP described as a communal party?'' This question, reportedly asked in an examination paper of the Bihar Public Service Commission, has angered the BJP.

The party spokesperson, Arun Jaitley, said this was politicisation of the examination and the question was clearly attempting to test the "ideological response'' of the candidate at the first entry point to the State civil service.

Demanding "an apology and an explanation'' from the State Government, he gave yet another sample from the question paper: "list the achievements of the former Bihar Chief Minister''.

He wanted to know whether those who opposed deletions in some NCERT textbooks and described that as "saffronisation'' of education, would condemn the `Lalooisation' of the Bihar civil service examination?
