An official statement said the Indian High Commission in Islamabad had been asked to make arrangements for these fishermen's return to India. A senior official in the Indian mission said the logistics to send back the fishermen were being worked out. The Pakistan Government said it had also decided to facilitate the return of Indian nationals stranded in Pakistan due to the disruption of rail, road and air links between the two countries, by condoning their periods of overstay.Pakistan said all stranded Indian nationals would be allowed to proceed to India via the Wagah/Attari check post. Officials in the Indian High Commission said they had no estimate of Indians stranded in Pakistan.
