Out in the open

Sir,— The BJP leader, Bhairon Singh Shekhawat's candidature for Vice-President's post though alarming, is not at all surprising, given his rich RSS background. Now that the ruling National Democratic Alliance enjoys majority in both the Houses of Parliament, Mr. Shekhawat is all set to become the next Vice-President and ex-officio Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. The BJP's hidden agenda is no more hidden. It is out in broad daylight.
