Letters to the Editor
Sir, The Deputy Prime Minister, L.K. Advani, has done the right thing by expressing regret to Jayalalithaa, even as the BJP president, Venkaiah Naidu, asked her not to make it a big issue. That is real leadership. Conventions have to be changed to meet the changing situation. Inviting 100 school children to the swearing-in ceremony was a novelty. Ms. Jayalalithaa has done well in insisting on her rights.
C. Lakshmi Narain,

G.Viswanathan,
