Trust the youth

Sir, — The former President, K.R. Narayanan, in his farewell address, said ``the older generation has failed to set an example and role models to our youth for social action in the service of the nation''.

India is still reeling under the firm grip of old people in almost every field and everyone is talking of giving opportunity to the young generation. In practice no one is prepared for giving way to the youngsters.
