Sir, Nirupama Subramanian's article provided food for thought (July 23). She wants the Sri Lankan Tamils to explore the possibilities of a change in leadership. It is doubtful whether the present peace process will be fruitful, in view of the stand taken by the LTTE and its leader, Velupillai Prabakaran, throughout the conflict. He has categorically declared that he will not settle for anything but an independent Eelam. It is difficult in the present circumstances to think, let alone effect a change in the leadership of Sri Lankan Tamils.
