33 killed in cloudburst

Dehra Dun Aug. 11. At least 33 persons, including 18 women, were killed and several missing in a cloudburst that triggered heavy floods and landslides at four remote hilly villages of Tehri district of Uttaranchal in the wee hours of today.

The Deputy Inspector General, Anil Raturi, said the natural disaster struck at 2 a.m., killing 15 persons at Marwari, 11 at Agunda, four at Medh and three at Kot. — PTI
