Letters to the Editor
Sir, It is unfortunate that elections in Gujarat have been delayed. The reasons are not convincing. The media has been projecting that the entire Gujarat is in chaos. Most parts of the State have been peaceful after the Godhra incident. Every citizen has a fundamental right to be governed by his/her elected representative. This right cannot be denied but for exceptional situations. Granting such a situation exists in parts of Gujarat, denying fundamental right to the entire State is unjustified.
B.N. Gangadhar,
