Sir, The Congress president, Sonia Gandhi, has vowed to bring back Kamaraj rule in Tamil Nadu. Everybody knows fully well that it will remain only a pledge, as Kamaraj rule can be brought back by none other than the late Kamaraj. There is no political leader in India equal to that "friend of the destitute'. His decision not to get a pipe connection to his home for his aged motherwhen he was at the helm of affairs, is a glaring example of his commitment to his honesty, transparency and above all, selfless service. Is there anybody in present day politics who can be compared to this true Gandhian?
C.P. Velayudhan Nair,
