Andhra Pradesh
By Our Staff Reporter
Disclosing this to The Hindu here today, the chairman of the Board, P. Dayachary, said that the Board had directed auction superintendents of all the floors in Karnataka, where the auctions are to commence from September 5, not to entertain any corrections on bale tickets. The Board had detected large-scale correction of prices on bale tickets in contravention of its guidelines on six auction platforms in Andhra Pradesh and five in Karnataka. Dr. Dayachary said that once the investigation was completed and the report finalised, the Board would recover the difference of amount the difference between original price on the bale ticket and the corrected figure on each bale from the traders. The amount would be given to the farmers concerned who sold the stocks. The Board would also collect the corresponding cess and also penalty for violating the rule.
