Rumours of doctor's abduction baseless: Karnataka

By Our Staff Reporter

BANGALORE Sept. 1. Amid rumours of abduction of a doctor from Chamarajanagar district by the forest brigand, Veerappan — dismissed as "baseless" by the Minister for Home, Mallikarjun Kharge — the Karnataka Government has sought the support of paramilitary forces from the Centre to help hunt him down.

Meanwhile, the drama over the abduction of the former Karnataka Minister, H. Nagappa, continued with no signs of message from the brigand.
