Maoists strike again

Kathmandu Sept. 9. In their second major offensive in as many days, Maoist rebels attacked a district headquarters in Nepal, killing 85 security personnel, including 17 armymen and injuring 22 others, while setting ablaze several Government offices and buildings overnight, officials said today. So far 65 bodies — 31 policemen, 17 soldiers and 17 armed police — have been recovered. Thirty wounded security personnel have been hospitalised.— PTI
