Water to T.N. stopped

BANGALORE SEPT. 18. The Karnataka Government has stopped the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu following an incident in which five persons jumped into the Kabini Reservoir in H.D. Kote taluk on Wednesday, sources told The Hindu. Of the five, one is missing.

Meanwhile, the Minister for Water Resources, H.K. Patil, told presspersons tonight that an emergency Cabinet meeting had been convened for Thursday morning.
