ULFA leader arrested

Guwahati Sept. 23. A top leader of the banned United Liberation Front of Assam and his bodyguard have been arrested from a nursing home in upper Assam's Dibrugarh district, police said today. Ramu Mech, east zone chief of the outfit and a trusted lieutenant of the ULFA chairman, Arabinda Rajkhowa, was nabbed by a Sivasagar police team on Sunday night.
