Letters to the Editor
Sir, The Iraqi imbroglio has brought out the true face of the U.S. foreign policy. After all these years of suffering, won't the people of Iraq get any respite? What is the problem with the President of Iraq, Saddam Hussein? The U.S. now tells us that if Mr. Saddam Hussein is removed all problems will be over. How, if there is that much arsenal with the Iraqi army, can the mere change of a person reduce a global threat to nothing? Here lies the answer to all our questions about the questionable motive of Mr. George Bush. Where is the once famous non-aligned movement (NAM) and where are its leaders? It is a pity that Indian leaders do not seem to have a backbone at all when it comes to facing the U.S..
