ULFA leader sentenced

DHAKA Sept. 26. A court here on Tuesday sentenced Anup Chetia, general secretary of the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA), and two of his accomplishes to seven years rigorous imprisonment. The ULFA general secretary, arrested with his associates — Mr. Babul Sharma and Laxmi Prasad — in December 1997 from a residential area of Dhaka, was earlier convicted for a total of 11 years rigorous imprisonment on various charges.
