Letters to the Editor
Sir, Even as the Chilakaluripet bus-burning case in which the culprits escaped capital punishment and were sentenced to life imprisonment because of the Presidential clemency is fresh in memory, there is yet another incident of arson involving the Hyderabad-Rayachoti hitech-bus in Mahabubnagar district, in which 15 persons were killed. Bus journey has become unsafe, especially during nights. Security at bus terminals must be stepped up and baggage of the passengers screened to detect any possible inflammable material. It is hoped that forensic examination will unravel the mystery behind the incident, and the Government will bring the culprits to book.
