IAF flypast

New Delhi Oct. 2. Notwithstanding the mid-air collision in Goa yesterday, the Indian Air Force proposes to go ahead with a spectacular flypast on its founding day on October 8. Thirty one fighter aircraft, including the just-inducted upgraded SU-30 MKI, will take part in it.

The flypast will be heralded by three MI-17 helicopters flying in `vic' formation with national and Air Force standards afloat. It will be closely followed by three Russian-acquired MI-35 gunships, an Air Force spokesman said. — PTI
