House approves resolution on Iraq

Washington Oct. 10. The House of Representatives has approved the Iraq resolution authorising the use of force by the President by a vote of 296 to 133.

A majority of the Democrats voted against the resolution. The Senate is considering the Iraq resolution and a vote could come later tonight or tomorrow.

In a show of bipartisanship the Senate by a vote of 75 to 25 rejected attempts to slow down the process for the final vote.
