Asian Games
Jaworski and Lee Jin-Kyung, riding Uncle Harry, both finished the second round with two time faults for taking too long to complete the course. They then competed in a jump-off over a shortened course, with time used to break any equality of faults. Lee, the first rider in the jump-off, hit the last jump a wall for four faults. Jaworski, after knocking an early rail that didn't fall, finished with a clear round to take gold, relegating Lee to silver. Tadayoshi Hayashi of Japan, riding Caracas, took the bronze after finishing with four faults in the second round. Hayashi was a member of the Japanese team that won the team show jumping gold on Saturday.
