Zee Telefilm's new strategy

MUMBAI, OCT. 15. Zee Telefilms has announced on Monday that Subhash Chandra, Zee Telefilms, will directly provide leadership to a three-pronged strategic direction chalked out by the Company. He will support and guide the core team comprising Apurva Purohit, President of the flagship Zee TV channel, Prashant Sanwal, Director, Alpha Channels, Laxmi N. Goel, Director, Zee News, Yogesh Radhakrishnan, Director, Zee Music and Zee Cinema, Jagjit Singh Kohli, Director, ETC brands, Ajay Trigunayat, Vice President, Zee English and Zee MGM. Unveiling the new strategic directions, Mr. Chandra said, ``Zee Telefilms will focus on programming excellence, multi-pillar channel approach built around the Zee TV flagship and build operational efficiencies to drive shareholder value.''

The focus on programming excellence would be driven by establishing benchmarks for all programming across channels. The approach would be to identify market sensitivities to programming content as well as emphasis production values. The qualitative effort would be to ensure relativity with specific emphasis on driving wholesome, family oriented content and catering to a wider viewership.
