Bank officials told to learn Hindi

Bangalore Oct. 15. K.S. Achyuthan, News Director of Doordarshan Kendra, Bangalore, has stressed the need for bank officials to learn Hindi which is the link language uniting the country.

He was speaking after distributing prizes to winners of various competitions organised by the State Bank of India, Bangalore Zonal Office, as part of "Rajbasha Week" here recently.

The former Test cricketer, Syed Kirmani, was the chief guest.

Nazeer Ahmed Khan, assistant manager of the bank, presented a report. M.K. Ananthaswamy, Deputy General Manager, presided over the function.
