Governor, CM greet Kalam

CHENNAI Oct. 15 . The Governor and the Chief Minister have conveyed their greetings to the President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, on the occasion of his 72nd birthday.

In his message, the Governor, P.S. Ramamohan Rao, said, "On behalf of the people of Tamil Nadu and on my own behalf, I extend to you our best wishes for a long and active life, and many more years of distinguished service to the nation".

The Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, said "I pray that the Almighty grant you many more years of good health to serve our country and guide the nation with renewed strength and vigour".

The DMK president and former Chief Minister, M. Karunanidhi, said "I wish you live for many more years to serve the people and the nation".
