Riots erupt in Thane district

THANE, OCT. 20. Twenty persons, including two policemen, were injured as communal riots broke ut in Badlapur town in Maharashtra's Thanedistrict late tonight following a minor altercation between two youths, police said.

Police fired four rounds in the air as a mob set afire a police vehicle and indulged in heavy stone-pelting. iolence erupted after a minor altercation between two youths belonging to different communities. - PTI
