Letters to the Editor
Sir, The steps taken by the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, against the Chechen rebels are bold and serve as a slap on the face of global terrorism. They are also a lesson for India, which has often proved to be a soft state. Mr. Putin has said that terrorism has no future; but Russia has. The statement holds equally true for India. Ravi Shankar Prasad, Dhanbad, Jharkhand
