Letters to the Editor
Sir, The U.S. President, George Bush, has once again proved his capability as an effective leader. After the September 11 attacks, he has been leading the war on terrorism with a missionary zeal and has achieved a fair measure of success. Now, he has led his party to an unprecedented victory, with the Republicans gaining a majority in both the Houses. He travelled across the nation, personally supervising the campaign in many States where there were close contests. And the Democrats, who frequently blocked the policy initiatives of Mr. Bush, are shocked by their defeat. Mr. Bush has emerged a strong leader in his own right while the Democrats are facing a leadership vacuum.
