Former CMs file papers

New Delhi Nov. 8. The former Chief Ministers, Farooq Abdullah and Rajnath Singh, senior Congress leader, Ghulam Nabi Azad, and the BJP dissidents' nominee, Suresh Nanda, were among those who fileds their nominations for elections to 16 Rajya Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal slated for November 18.

Dr. Abdullah, Mr. Azad and the former Union Minister, Saifuddin Soz (Congress), were among the four candidates who entered the fray in Jammu and Kashmir. A total of 13 nominations have been filed for elections to 11 Rajya Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh. — PTI
