Andhra Pradesh-Hyderabad
By Our Special Correspondent
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, the party's spokesperson, P. Prabhakar, said admission of its failure would not absolve the Government of the responsibility thereof in messing up with the developmental process and achieving a negative growth in every sector. It was time it evolved a perfect strategy initiating wider consultation and involving all political parties. Mr.Prabhakar said slowdown of the economic growth was for two reasons -- bad planning and lackadaisical attitude in implementing even what was evolved by it. The BJP had cautioned the Government sometime back on the imperfections in the strategies and its impact on the outcome, but the Government was not interested turned a deaf ear. It was time the Government discussed both issues to realise what went wrong and why, he said. There was no parity in the projections made and results achieved in case of all the 24 growth engines identified and evolved by the Government, he said. His party's MLAs would not hesitate to question the Government on its substantial failures despite being a friendly party, he said.
