Pondicherry

Pondicherry, Nov, 11. A batch of six children from the Jawahar Bal Bhavan in Pondicherry, run by the Education Directorate, who would take part in the six-day International Children's Assembly starting in New Delhi on November 14, were felicitated today by the Education Minister, K. Lakshminarayanan. The children would also meet the Prime Minister and the Union HRD Minister. Mr. Lakshminarayanan said another batch of 10 children from various schools in Pondicherry would meet the President, Abdul Kalam, on the occasion of Children's Day in New Delhi. The Director of Education, G.Theva Needhi Dhas, and the head of the Bal Bhavan, Amirta Ganesan, were present. Two staff members would accompany the children to Delhi.
