The definition of NRI is given in clause 2.2 of the prospectus-2002 that has been issued by the Controller of Entrance Examinations (CEE). The total number of seats in this category is nine. Candidates will have to pay Rs. 10 lakhs as infrastructure development fee (to be remitted at the time of admission) and an annual tuition fee amounting to the rupee equivalent of $10,000 (U.S.). Admission will be made from a merit list prepared on the basis of the marks secured by the candidates in their qualifying examination. Application forms and prospectus can be had from the office of the CEE from November 11 onwards on payment of Rs. 1,500 as DD in favour of the CEE, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Those who wish to get the application by post should pay an additional amount of Rs. 100, if the address is within the country or Rs. 283, if the address is outside the country. Such requests must reach the CEE at or before 5 p.m. on November 30. Completed applications must reach the office of the CEE by registered post with acknowledgement due, or by personal delivery at or before 5 p.m. on December 7.
