IAF meet on Operation Parakram

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI NOV. 13. Commanders of the Western Air Command (WAC) will meet for three days beginning tomorrow to review the experience of Operation Parakram, the 10-month-long standoff with Pakistan.

The WAC would have played a crucial role in the event of a war with Pakistan since the entire Line of Control and a major portion of the international border fall in its jurisdiction.

The conference will also devise plans that entail quick mobilisation to earmark areas for deployment of men and material in terms of aircraft, radars and missiles.
