By J. Venkatesan

NEW DELHI NOV. 16. The MDMK general secretary and party MP, Vaiko, has moved the Supreme Court challenging Section 21 of the Prevention of Terrorism Act under which he was arrested by the Tamil Nadu police on July 11.

The writ petition (filed from Vellore prison), Mr. Vaiko said, was preferred for protection, vindication and enforcement of his fundamental rights guaranteed under Article 19 (1) (a) and (c) and Article 21 of the Constitution by declaring Section 21 (1) and (3) of the POTA, which infringed on his rights as ultra vires the Constitution.
