Shivaji Yadav does the star turn for Hyderabad

HYDERABAD NOV. 19. It was Hyderabad's day as it fought back remarkably to grab a vital one-run lead from a seemingly hopeless position against Andhra on the third day of the Elite Group Ranji Trophy match at Gymkhana Grounds here today. Hyderabad then put itself in a position of strength, making 240 for three in its second essay.

The unexpected hero for the home team was off-spinner J. Shivaji Yadav, who returned with his third five-wicket haul in his 19th match (five for 87), to get his team the lead under dramatic circumstances. Even as Andhra captain M.S.K. Prasad duly completed a deserving hundred (130, 304m, 202b, 19x4) and looked set to guide his team to its first task of taking the lead, Shivaji struck telling blows.
