Parliament 'nod' for Bill

NEW DELHI NOV. 20. Parliament today gave its approval for inclusion of more castes under the Scheduled Castes list in various States with the Rajya Sabha passing the relevant amendment Bill after a brief discussion.The Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order (second amendment) Bill, 2002, was passed by the Upper House by a voice vote after the Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Satya Narayan Jatiya, said the Government was committed to protect the interests of the SCs and the STs and other socially disadvantaged people.
