Canada bans Jaish, Harkat

Ottawa Nov. 28. Canada has added six groups to its list of banned terrorist groups, including the controversial Palestinian group, Hamas.

The announcement came yesterday in the House of Commons with the Solicitor-General, Wayne Easter, announcing that Hamas and the Islamic Army of Aden, the Harkat-ul-Mudjahideen (HuM), the Asbat Al-Ansar (League of Partisans), the Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the Jaish-e-Mohammed were being added to a list of banned groups. — AFP
