Rise in Bajaj Auto sales

NEW DELHI DEC. 2.

Bajaj Auto has reported a 5.2 per cent rise in sales at 1.28 lakh units in November compared to 1.21 lakh units sold in the same period of last year. Over 77,000 motorcycles were sold during November 2002 as against a sale of 58,415 units in the corresponding period of 2001.

Commercial production of the all new entry level motorcycle ``Byke'', to be launched next month, has commenced at Akurdi plant near Pune.
