'Deal with militant outfits politically'

Howrah Dec. 8. The West Bengal, Chief Minister, Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, said today that administrative and political measures should be used to combat militant outfits such as the Kamtapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) and the Peoples War (PW).

``Besides administrative measures, ultra outfits like the KLO and the PW would have to be dealt with politically,'' Mr. Bhattacharjee said at a CPI(M) meeting at Dumurjala in Howrah district.

Stating that these organisations did not have public support, he said they wanted to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the State.
