By Our Staff Correspondent

Some persons set a bus on fire at Lokkanahalli, in Kollegal taluk, while a mob gathered in front of the Ramapura Police Station and set a jeep on fire.

Violence continued unabated as the mob attacked the office of the Deputy Tahshildar. The office was ransacked and documents destroyed while lorries were set on fire at Odeyarapalya. Two more buses were set on fire by the mob as the violence spread to other villages and towns in Kollegal. The most affected were Ajjipura, Hanchipura, Cowdahalli, Hanur and Bandahalli. Meanwhile, the authorities imposed curbs on the movement of vehicles into Kollegal taluk, where Section 144 has been clamped.
