Police open fire at Kamagere
By Our Correspondent
CHAMARAJNAGAR
DEC. 8.
Police opened fire in Kamagere village today when a mob turned violent on hearing the news of the death of the abducted former Minister, H. Nagappa. A boy was injured in the incident.
Additional police forces have been rushed to surrounding villages. Two private buses were set on fire by a mob in Bandalli village and another was set ablaze in Ajjipura village.
Presspersons were also at the receiving end as agitated people tried to attack them.
The body of Mr. Nagappa is expected to reach Kamagere via Ponnachi after the police complete the formalities.
However, details of the post-mortem examination were not available. The Sharana Sahitya Vedike and several Veerashaiva organisations have called for a `Chamarajanagar bandh' on Monday.
