Sonia hits out at Centre for selling PSUs

By Kanwar Yogendra

SHILAROO, (Shimla Hills), Dec. 11. After a hectic campaigning in Gujarat, the Congress president, Sonia Gandhi, addressed a quite and peaceful rally here today. Ms. Gandhi talked more about innocent hill people, their history and culture. The text of her speech was relaxed. Calling Himachal as a valley of Gods, she praised the people of hills and especially their horticultural skill.

Ms. Gandhi criticised the Central Government for "not doing anything for the uplift of people and selling the profit making PSUs.

The BJP promised one crore jobs in a year but the army of unemployed was increasing day-by-day. Corruption was rampant in Government giving jobs to people. "We will not compromise with our principles and policies and that is the reason we have won in Jammu and Kashmir and in a number of other States. Coming to power is not an end, but a means for the development and upliftment of the people."
