I've nothing to say: Lyngdoh

New Delhi Dec. 12. The Chief Election Commissioner, J. M. Lyngdoh, today dismissed a charge by the Gujarat Bharatiya Janata Party that the Commission had been ``biased'' in its approach during the elections to the State Assembly. ``It is their point of view. I am not interested,'' Mr. Lyngdoh told Star News.

Asked if the BJP was attributing motives, he said ``it is their own Government employees who have conducted the elections. I have nothing to say.''

The people had been given a number of opportunities to respond if they found something wrong with the electoral rolls during the revision of rolls. ``If they have not responded, we cannot blame other people.''

Addressing a press conference earlier, the Deputy Election Commissioner, A. N. Jha, said if, despite elaborate arrangements made to update the electoral list and adequate opportunities given to political parties, some names were missing from the voters list ``at the best, we can say it was unfortunate.''
