Phalke award for Yash Chopra

NEW DELHI DEC. 13. The producer-director of some of Bollywood's biggest successes, Yash Chopra, has been selected for the 2001 Dada Saheb Phalke Award which carries a cash prize of Rs. 2 lakhs, a shawl and a Swarna Kamal. The highest award of the Government in the film industry, the Phalke Award caps the various awards that Yash Chopra has won during his long-career in film-making. He directed 20 blockbusters under his own banner, Yash Raj Films, and other banners.
