New Delhi Dec. 14. The Qatar Airways will launch three flights to Kochi from March with Airbus A-320 and A300 aircraft. With this, the airline will operate 16 flights to India at Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, Hyderabad per week.

The airline will bid for investment in one of the four metro airports that are being privatised in India as a joint venture, the CEO of Qatar Airways, Akbar Al Baker, said here today.

He did not disclose the details, but said his airline was keen on more business in India, and more flights out of India. The airline has a 2800 seat capacity between Qatar and India with point-to-point services. It was looking for more destinations in India, including Delhi and Chennai.
