Bomb scare in Parliament

By Our Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI DEC. 16 . Police were thrown into a tizzy today following a telephone call claiming that bombs had been planted within the Parliament House complex.

The call was received by the Police Control Room around 11-30 a.m. Police and the Bomb Disposal Squads rushed to the spot and the entire complex was combed even as the Parliament was in session.

However, the call was declared a hoax as nothing was found after a two-hour search.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the call had been made from a mobile phone. However, the number could not be traced. A case has been registered at the Parliament Street police station.
